The Lakeland Denture Clinic has been serving the Lac La Biche and area for almost 25 years. Many satisfied patients have returned to our clinic to get another set of dentures. The satisfaction and comfort of our patients is our ultimate goal. We discuss every option with you and make sure you understand what is all involved. From the initial consultation to our fitting techniques, and follow-up appointments, our entire procedure is efficient, friendly, and professional.

In-House Lab

We also have an in-house lab where the dentures are fabricated. Here, the Denturist will custom design and create each individual smile.  There are no 2 mouths the same so creativity is key to making a beautiful natural smile. So from impressions to final fitting, everything in between is done here in the lab.

Oriana Kononchuk, DD

A little about your local denturist.

I grew up on a farm located south of Grassland, Alberta, and after completing my high school education, I pursued my dream of becoming a Denturist at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Following my post-secondary education, I gained valuable experience working in Lac la Biche for a span of two years. Subsequently, I took a break to start a family. After the arrival of my two children, I established my denture practice in Lac la Biche on November 3, 1998. Today, I take immense pride in marking 27  years of dedicated service to the community.

Lac la Biche is known for its scenic beauty and a wealth of recreational opportunities, which I actively enjoy during my free time. Whether it’s fishing, camping, or golfing, Lac la Biche offers a variety of outdoor pursuits that I find immensely satisfying. My true passion lies in not only bringing smiles to people’s faces through humor but also in crafting dentures that instill confidence in their wearers.

Skye Kuryliw

Hello, my name is Skye! As of August 2025, I have been working alongside Oriana as the Administrator/Lab Assistant, here at Lakeland Denture Clinic. Although I’m new to the clinic, I’m native to the community. I was raised in Lac La Biche, and reside in Lac La Biche County with my husband, and our two children. 
 
I’ve always been drawn to the Dental field, and though I didn’t pursue that chosen career path, I’ve found myself gravitating back in that direction. I studied at NAIT and completed a 2 year course earning a certificate for Office Administration in 2012. I’ve worked various roles as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, Accounting Assistant, and also worked in the Education field as an Educational Assistant. I’ve had some pretty great experiences, and developed tons of new skills along the way. An opportunity opened up, and I was fortunate enough to jump in on it, which led me to my current endeavour. I am blessed to be fulfilling duties assisting the Denturist and getting hands-on experience, to not only assist in the denture-making process, but also feel the rewardness in witnessing our patients regain the confidence in their smiles.
